Provide your horse with comfort when you ride with the Shires Fleece Lined Girth. This girth helps to distribute pressure evenly around your horse, keeping him comfortable and preventing girth rubs and sores. Fleece provides a quality padding material to maximize your horse’s comfort during rides. It’s also very durable and can be easily washed and maintained. Fleece is more economical than some other padding types, which helps to keep the Shires Fleece Lined Girth an affordable option. The Shires Fleece Lined Girth is crafted with a generously padded synthetic fleece lining to keep your horse comfortable. A webbing overlay adds strength and support and is attached to double elastic at both girth ends. The elastic helps to relieve the pressure of the girth and allows your horse’s ribcage to lift and shift even once the girth has been tightened. Stainless steel roller buckles on both ends make tightening the girth smooth and easy, whether from the ground or from the saddle. This girth also features a D-ring in the center for attaching a breastplate or training aid. Your horse’s current girth may be making him uncomfortable if he protests or tries to bite when you tighten the girth. If a girth fits poorly or has a hard surface it can pinch and rub the horse, leading to uncomfortable pressure points and girth sores. A horse with ulcers can also be very sensitive in the girth area, so a padded girth is recommended.
