This shimmable half pad can be tailored to the unique shape of your horse’s back, providing excellent comfort without slipping or bunching up. The Shires Adjustable Non-Slip Saddle Pad is crafted so that you can add or remove high density foam inserts. These inserts are flexible and provide superior cushioning to your horse’s back. This system provides an excellent way to perfect the fit of a saddle that isn’t quite right for your horse. It’s also ideal to use when you’re bringing a horse back into condition and know that the shape of his back will be changing as he gets muscled up. This pad features Neoprene upper panels to help keep it from slipping or moving while your horse is in motion. Additionally, the pad is cut to fit your horse’s natural shape, preventing pinching or rubbing and helping it to stay put. It features nylon billet straps to further help keep it in place. The underside of this pad is a soft, absorbent lining which helps to distribute the weight of the saddle evenly across the horse’s back. This pad is constructed of 80 polyester and 20% EVA. It is machine washable with a maximum water temperature of 86 degrees.
