The Robart Pinchless Victory Medium Port Bit is a basic curb bit that many horses will like. The port does not reach the palate, and there is extra room for the horses’ tongue to move into when there is rein pressure applied. This grazing bit has the two points of rotation with the innovative design of Dave Robart, multiple time World Champion rider. Dave understands the need for comfort and clarity in the horses’ bridle and has developed this spring loaded system for port bits, as well as a swivelling system for jointed bits. The two points of rotation are at the cheek attachment sites, giving a feeling a freedom and movement there. The second point is the ability of the bit to move on either side of the port. When rein pressure is applied, the shank of the side activated will move down on the bars of the mouth on that side. The port and the other shank remain in a neutral position, making it much clearer and more comfortable for the horse. The angle of the shank is set for a quicker response time and lighter aids, as the shanks are bent back, thus engaging any rein aids more quickly. The rider using this bit should be intermediate or higher, with independent balance from the reins. The Victory series of bits has well decorated shanks, and the Robart Pinchless Victory Medium Port is no exception to that.
