The Passport English Fleece Girth is an extremely popular girth for many disciplines! Favoured by horses for the comfort and lack of irritation to the skin, and favoured by riders by the economic price of quality equipment, this girth has much appeal! The nylon outer surface has the D-ring that makes it easy to attach a martingale, a breastplate, or draw reins. The nylon itself is stain and water resistant, durable, and very easy to wipe off. It is available in the neutral brown to match most all-purpose, close-contact and jumping saddles. The Passport English Fleece Girth by Toklat has the subtle contours to maximize the freedom of motion for the horse, giving it more room at the elbow, and thus more room for the shoulder and front leg to move without restriction. The white fleece adds a classic look and feel of comfort. It is an excellent fabric to have against the skin of a sensitive horse. The fleece absorbs moisture and takes it away from the horse’s skin. This prevents the excessive heat buildup that can cause a host of skin conditions and irritations. Many horses also appreciate the padded, cushioned feel around this very vulnerable area of their body. Both ends are equipped with strong elastic, making the girth a great choice for horses that react strongly to the girth being tightened. This ‘give’ is enough for horses to relax, react less and feel less like they are going to ‘choke’. It will still be secure and safe for the saddle to stay in place.
